Hi! I'm Carolyn. Since 2013, I've worked as a speech-language pathologist in the Central Michigan area. Most of my experience has been spent in the early childhood setting, working with children ages birth-5 with complex communication needs. I have always enjoyed working with children and love working with families to incorporate language activities into your home routines.

I believe in play-based, child led therapy for home sessions, and I strive to make therapy as fun as possible! Whether we are working on speech sounds, building language, or incorporating AAC into your home, we will always use fun and engaging activities to make the most of our time together. I also love bringing nature-based learning into sessions and work hard to incorporate time outside as a therapeutic activity.

As an educator, I've worked in the public school setting as both a direct therapist and consultant. I enjoy training teams to build capacity and knowledge in best practices. I have experience in providing trainings at the local, state, and national level. My presentations are dynamic, engaging, and can be built to suit your specific needs.

Above everything else, I'm a mom of two young boys! My partner and I have lived in Central Michigan since 2006. I graduated from Central Michigan University and love being a part of the Mount Pleasant community. In my free time, I love being outdoors hiking, running, sitting around a bonfire, or finding new places to explore.
